Every BHIM diamond is chosen by our gemmologists and described by the four universal grading factors, the 4Cs, set out by the GIA.
Cut
How well the facets return light. Cut decides a diamond's brilliance, fire and sparkle more than any other factor. Grades run from Excellent to Poor.
Colour
Graded from D (colourless) to Z (light yellow or brown). D–F are colourless, G–J near-colourless.
Clarity
The absence of inclusions and blemishes, from Flawless (FL) and Internally Flawless (IF) through VVS, VS and SI to Included (I).
Carat
The weight of a diamond: one carat equals 0.2 grams. Two diamonds of equal weight can differ greatly in value depending on the other three Cs.
Certificates
Our certified diamonds come with an independent grading report from GIA, IGI, HRD or IGA. You can check a GIA report at gia.edu.
